About...
I currently serve as the Associate Dean of Students and Student Life Operations at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. I earned my B.S. in Kinesiology (Biomechanics and Exercise Physiology) from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, my M.S. in Education (Emphasis in Special Education) from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and my EdD in Higher Education (Specialization in Conflict Resolution and Negotiation) from Nova Southeastern University Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
I’m an active member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators Association/Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA) and served as the Knowledge Chair (KC) for Small Colleges and Universities and GLBT Initiatives for NASPA-FL. Additionally, I am an active member in the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD) and currently serving as the Technology and Communications Co-Chair.
I also enjoy focusing time on philanthropic endeavors. In 2009, I led a group of college-student to Oaxaca, Mexico where they focused their work with a low-income primary school teaching English and art. In 2011, I worked with a group of students to benefit the Village of Seenigama in Sri Lanka, a non-profit organization (The Foundation of Goodness) focused on empowering the less privileged rural community toward sustainability.
